The Salon du Végétal is the French trade show for the horticultural industry. Over 600 European exhibitors will be presenting a wide range of plants in Angers from 21 to 23 February 2012. 16,000 trade visitors are expected.

Plants come first here! Most of our exhibitors (60%) are horticulturalists, nurserymen and plant breeders. The other companies offer products such as pots, compost, fertilisers and services linked to the sale of plants.

Flowers, trees, pot plants and border plants, bulbs, shrubs, perennials, young plants, seeds… the whole range of ornamental plants is on show. Organic kitchen garden plants are also to be found.

The Salon du Végétal is a trade show. If you work in one of the following sectors, this show is for you: production, local authorities, landscaping, specialist distribution, supermarket distribution, floristry, education and input suppliers.

An international show

In February 2011, foreign exhibitors came from 13 countries to add to the French ranges. Foreign visitors came from 36 countries. 70% of exhibitors come from all over France.

The Polish Association of Engineers and Technicians of Horticulture (SITO) Poznań Branch as a member of The International Floristic Federation FLORINT - International Florists Organization has a pleasure to invite you to The VII Polish International Floristic Championship, 23 – 26 February 2012 at the ground of Poznań International Fair, Pavilion 8A (exposition of arrangements is scheduled for 23- 26 February 2012 as well).

The competition is a chance for Polish and foreign florists to show all their skills such as ability and creativity to improvise flower arrangements. It let them know the latest trends and techniques as well as to exchange experience. Winners of both age groups have a chance to participate at The European Floristic Championship. Tomasz Max Kuczyński - International Champion of Poland 2010  who had been recommended to The European Junior Floristic Championship ,,Eurofleurs 2010 ”has recently awarded the title of II-vice Master of Europe at the competition in Great Britian.

Today, FLORALL is a trade fair where over 250 professional growers present their quality products to the professional visitors. All nurserymen and growers, but also suppliers of horticultural products can participate (see info participation). A visit to Florall is strictly reserved to traders and growers. Each year two FLORALL-trade fairs are organised: a Spring fair (beginning of March) & an Autumn fair (end of August ). The trade fair lasts 2 days.

WORLD FLORAL EXPO - BACK IN THE BIG APPLE – AN EXCITING MARCH 2012 TRADE EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED BY ANY PROFESSIONAL IN THE FRESH CUT FLOWER BUSINESS!

World Floral Expo is back in the the Big Apple, the city where the trade show started off back in 1999. Yes, under a different name and indeed under very different circumstances, since the reason for moving to Miami were the tragic 911 events that forced the successful flower show to continue else where. World Floral Expo is a pure cut flower trade event with the typical triangle chain concept as the leading philosophy behind it: breeder<=>grower<=> buyer.

The trade show takes place in the Jacob. K. Javits Center, New York's biggest and most prestigeous Exhibition Center along the Hudson river in the heart of NYC, in Manhattan. Over 100 companies from more then 30 countries will participate and exhibit their newest and best grown flower varieties during the three day event. The Javits will for a few days be the centerpoint for the world cut flower industry housing all 4 important flower producing continents i.e. North America, South America, Africa & Europe The event is a professional business event focusing on each and every buyer of fresh cut flowers. From the smallest florist to the biggest retail chain stores, importers and whole salers within the USA and Canada. The show will run from Wednesday March 14 through Friday March 16 with daily show hours from 10:00 hrs - 18:00 hrs.

In March next year, a new exhibition for the flower sector will open its doors in Nairobi, Kenya. The name of the exhibition will be International Flower Trade Expo or I.F.T.EX. and the organiser is HPP Exhibitions. The exhibitors will not only be suppliers with equipment for flower growers, but also the growers themselves. The flower growers are expected to attract foreign flower buyers.

Just as Dick van Raamsdonk, General Manager of HPP, did last year in the Netherlands where he started the IFTF fair and went into competition with the existing HortiFair, he now starts a fair in Nairobi, where already the Hortec is held. Van Raamsdonk was also co-organiser of the Hortec, but left. According to him, it was a request of the exhibitors to start a new and better fair. In the new fair, Kenyan flower growers will get a stand with furniture without any cost. The reason, according to Van Raamsdonk, is that growers are important because the fair can only be organised because of them. 

HPP found an area of 4.500 m2 exhibition space in the proximity of Nairobi, with possibilities for growth. The fair will be held biennially in the even years. According to Van Raamsdonk, it will be a professional floriculture trade exhibition in terms of organisation, as well as in attracting the right buyers to attend. “Therefore exhibitors can count on a promotion campaign in order to maximize both national and international attendance”, Van Raamsdonk says.

The I.F.T.EX. will take place from 21 to 23 March 2012.

Parmi les tulipes, 400 variétés seront représentées dont certaines n’ont pas encore reçu de nom.  Dans les serres, une prestigieuse exposition d’arrangements floraux et de plantes décoratives est à découvrir. Plus de 10.000 fleurs en provenance de divers marchés aux fleurs d’Europe sont renouvelées chaque semaine.  La chapelle et le donjon réserveront une surprise fleurie.  Après le succès rencontré cette année, de nombreux oiseaux et des animaux éveilleront à nouveau la curiosité des enfants.  Tulipes, orchidées et autres fleurs à bulbe seront en vente à l’entrée du château

La famille des orchidées, avec ses innombrables espèces et ses milliers de variétés réparties sur la presque totalité de notre planète, sera mise à l’honneur ces 7,8 et 9 avril 2011 de 10 à 18 heures aux écuries et à la salle des Acacias du Parc du château d’Enghien (plus de 1000m² d’exposition).

De nombreux artistes, professionnels belges et étrangers ainsi que des clubs d’orchidophiles vous feront partager leur passion pour cette fleur extraordinaire à travers leurs différentes œuvres telles que des photographies, des dentelles, des parfums ou des peintures. Notre décor sera complété par des aquariums et des pièces d’eau grâce à la collaboration de divers club d’aquariophiles dont deux nationaux : l’ICAIF et la BBAT.

Toute la journée, nous vous proposons également des séances de rempotage par l’Association Française « Culture et Protection des Orchidées » (AFCPO)

Cette exposition est accessible de 10 à 18 heures. Le droit d’entrée à la présentation et au Parc d’Enghien est fixé à 5€ pour les adultes, 3€ pour les étudiants, les pensionnés et la population enghiennoise.

La 28° édition de la foire de jardin “Lifestyle Tuinbeurs”aura lieu le 07-08 & 09 avril 2012 dans le parc du château Ooidonk à 9800 Deinze,commune de Bachte Maria Leerne.
